Join us to celebrate spring's arrival with a day of gardening inspiration! Bring your questions for our experts, explore new products from some of our key partners, and enjoy a complimentary BBQ. Here's what you can expect throughout the day:

9am - 5pm: Gravel Grids with Jackie from Core Landscape Products -
Jackie from Core will be on-site all day to answer your questions about their innovative, eco-friendly gravel stabilization grids, designed to keep surfaces firm, functional, and long-lasting.

9am - 12pm: Pruning Ask-Me-Anything Station with certified arborist, Cheryl - From tools to timing, this is your chance to pick Cheryl's brain on all things pruning! Bring all your questions about pruning and learn how to make the right cuts for stronger, healthier plants.

9:30am - 2:30pm Rental Equipment Booth & free BBQ, courtesy of Tyler of Rental Equip - get advice on the right tools for your landscaping projects, plus enjoy complimentary hot dogs on the grill during lunchtime

10 a.m.: Decking out Orchids | Laurel, The Gibsons Florist, shows us how to transform a classic orchid into a stunning holiday centrepiece. She’ll also share tips for keeping your orchid healthy and blooming long after the holidays are over!​

11 a.m.: Amaryllis Garden Demo | Terry from Creative Ecology will showcase how to create a stunning artistic amaryllis bulb garden—perfectly dressed for the holidays. And, she'll offer expert care tips for keeping your amaryllis blooming beautifully and ensuring your bulbs thrive year after year.

1 p.m.: Merry Minimalist Wreath Workshop | Details above, pre-registration is required)

Hands-on Creative Activities: Throughout the day, we'll offer hands-on activities where you can drop in and make a festive gardening craft such as a wreath, Christmas terrarium, or a table centrepiece. Note that all activities are kid-friendly so long as a parent is present to supervise and support with using tools, etc!

Merry Minimalist Wreath Workshop

A minimalist take on a contemporary Christmas wreath! Using a wire wreath base, you'll get to design and create an eye-catching holiday wreath using evergreen boughs and branches, and seasonal decorations. The cost of your ticket includes all your materials: wreath base, greens, decor and ribbon.

In this hands-on workshop, design extraordinaire Laurel (The Gibsons Florist), will help you create your own show-stopping winter wonderland porch pot using fresh boughs and branches, and an assortment of festive decorative accents. The cost of the ticket includes all your materials: insert pot, soil, greens and decor.

The cost of the ticket includes all your materials: insert pot, soil, fresh greens, magnolia tips, dogwood branches, berries, pinecones and ribbon... plus a warm drink and treats! Additional materials such as live plants, eucalyptus, birch sticks or other festive accents can be purchased as you're building your planter, on the day of the workshop.

Terrarium Workshop
